GOAL?

Okay so get this, I'm at work right now but I came down into the office (with permission) to write this entry before I forget to do it later tonight.
So the guys at work apparently bought a new flat screen TV that they put inside the kitchen...just so they can watch the soccer games going on for the past few days...now I have to ask something~
Why do people find soccer, or sports in general, so entertaining? Why do some people obsess over sports games so much? To me all it is is a bunch of men running around playing with balls...and it seems soooo damn boring! I don't get it, am I missing something here?
Where's the action? Where's the comedy? Where's dramatic twists...there's nothing entertaining about kicking a ball in a net and some guy yelling "GOOOOOOOAAAALALALLAAAAAAA" at the top of their lungs...
In my opinion, if you've seen one soccer game, you've seen them all cause they are all basically the same exact thing.
A guy kicks ball, a guy defends, a guy kicks ball again, goal, get point, yay, celebrate for 2 minutes yelling GOOOOAAAAL. rinse and repeat. Thats all any sport is..so please tell me guys, what's so entertaining about sports?

other than cheering for your country and making fun of other countries for losing...cause we have enough racism as it is, stop feeding the fire.
